What technicians ask us first.
- How does work reach me?
- An owner asks for work and the request lands in your list with what they described. You answer it with an estimate.
- Do I set my own price?
- Yes. Each line of an estimate is one job, with your hours and your rate. The owner approves it from their app, and until they do the estimate is sent rather than accepted, with nothing scheduled against it.
- What do I know before I get to the boat?
- The boat, its slip, and whatever service history has been logged against it. You are not working out what happened to it while standing on the dock.
- How do I get on KEEL?
- An owner invites you by email, and the link sets you up as a technician rather than leaving you to guess. Technicians are never texted: a cold text to a contractor sits outside KEEL's registered messaging campaign, and that is a decision rather than a limitation. You can also download the app above and apply as a Service Provider.
- Where is KEEL working?
- Wherever there are boats. Apply in the app, tell us the marinas you cover, and owners there can book you. An owner can also invite you directly, wherever they keep their boat.
